Kumiko Box

This beautiful walnut box is decorated by a Kumiko panel with the “Asanoha” pattern. The box showcases continuous wrapping around grain of the walnut. The Kumiko panel drops into the box top with a rabbet and is removable, but I encourage you to keep it in place due to the fragile mulberry paper screening the panel.

The inside of the box is finished with the traditional French polishing technique, creating a beautiful luster and brightness when opened. The outside is finished with Danish oil and Wax to give it a buttery feel asking to be touched.

This box would be perfect for any keepsakes or be given as a gift and can be passed down for generations.
